This week's staff spotlight shines on theater teacher Grant Wilson! Mr. Wilson, along with Ms. Morgan and Ms. Brown, has put in a lot of work to prepare for this year's musical, Mean Girls Jr. Mr. Wilson brings a high level of professionalism and execution, and our students are rising to the occasion. This is sure to be one of our best musicals ever! Mr. Wilson joined us this year from Walsh Middle School and has already established a collaborative spirit with other staff members. This past summer, he participated in a learning experience through Round Rock ISD's externship program, and our students have already benefited from it.

Congratulations to Jonathan Pedersen, Assistant Band Director, on achieving the top-scoring application in this year's "Roger Woest Inspired Arts in Education National Creative Impact" Grant Award. Because of the outstanding quality and long-term impact of his proposal in pursuit of equitable access to music education, Mr. Pedersen and PRMS were awarded a direct purchase of beginning band instruments (2 trumpets, 1 clarinet, 2 flutes, and a percussion kit) AND additional support to expand the starter inventory beyond his original request.
